Summary

The East Gungahlin High School Supporting Road Infrastructure project delivered road and utility infrastructure to support the development of Canberra’s newest public High School. The scope of works included the reconfiguration and reconstruction of Well Station Drive, extension of Albatross Crescent, signalisation of 2 intersections, shared use paths, noise walls, major utility upgrades, construction of bus stops, and landscaping.

The project was delivered in parallel with the Design and Construction of the East Gungahlin High School, demanding close collaboration with the adjoining works contractor and a consistent appreciation for the broader project objective.

Innovation in Environmental Sustainability was a defining feature of the project. In a bid to drive sustainable principles in the Civil Construction industry, Complex utilised this project as an example in best practice. Complex worked tirelessly with industry and governing bodies to introduce several Environmentally Sustainable materials and construction methods into the project.

The East Gungahlin High School Supporting Road Infrastructure project is an example of leadership, quality, collaboration, innovation, community and legacy in civil construction.
