Summary

The Jacka 2 Stage 1B civil engineering and landscape construction project aimed to create essential infrastructure for the development of 109 suburban blocks and three multiunit blocks within Jacka, ACT. This initiative involved the execution of three distinct construction contracts, each addressing site topography, road connectivity, existing service integration, substantial earthworks, new electrical, water & sewer infrastructure, expansive hard and soft landscaping and netball courts. A crucial component of these works was establishing a water supply main linked to the Bonner Reservoir situated eastward from the site, ensuring sustainable water access for the new development.

Jacka 2 Stage 1B’s focus on civil engineering, landscape construction, and supporting infrastructure underscored a great outcome for the Suburban Land Agency, catering to both residential needs and recreational amenities like netball courts and open space. The project has laid a strong foundation for generations to come.
